Basilius Kasera – Toward Shalom as a Radical and Transformative Conceptual Framework for Post-Apartheid Social Justice in Namibia

The article explores how a biblically informed concept of shalom could provide for a thicker theological and conceptual framework for Christian praxis in the Namibian post-apartheid context. It serves as a tentative dialogue starter of how Christians can participate in the social ordering of society, especially in redressing deep levels of social injustice. The author argues that if God has revealed himself through the Law, the Prophets and finally through his Son, then Scripture, rather than the socio-political conditions must drive our vision and conceptualisation of justice in the world.
