TRUSTEES STATEMENT, 10 January 2025

The Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life (OCRPL) was established in 2005 in Oxford as an independent research institute and educational charity. The organisation has received funding from numerous charitable bodies and submits its accounts to the Charity Commission annually.

The Centre welcomes the current statutory inquiry by the Charity Commission and hopes to continue its research and educational mission without interference from external parties. From 2019 until August 2024, the charity received funds raised by Barnabas Aid through a memorandum of understanding with Nexcus International. The MOU relationship was terminated by OCRPL in April 2024 giving six months’ notice to Nexcus. This six months’ period has now been completed.
